MoU with WIPO, DBT and IIT Delhi
We are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) and IIT Bombay.
This MoU is geared towards fostering the development of intellectual property (IP) knowledge through IP-related course materials within the Biodesign Program. It also includes the establishment of a WIPO-supported Global Health Innovation Fellowship Initiative, enabling international Fellows to participate in the program.

TechConnect
The inaugural event of TechConnect 2023, the premiere research and development outreach event of IIT Bombay, showcasing research to the public including students, industries and academia took place on 27 December 2023. Chief Guest, Mr. Harish Mehta, Co-founder and the First Elected Chairman of NASSCOM, Founder of the Onward Group, and author of The Maverick Effect, along with Prof. Subhasis Chaudhuri, Director, IIT Bombay inaugurated the event. This was followed by a visit to various exhibits by Mr.
National IP Award 2023 to IIT Bombay
For its efforts towards protection and deployment of its intellectual property, the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks (CGPDTM) has conferred the National IP Award 2023 to IIT Bombay, under the category of Best Indian Academic Institution for Patents Filing, Grant & Commercialization.
Lectures on Nobel Prizes 2023 Session
IIT Bombay organized Lectures on Nobel Prizes 2023 Session I by the faculty members of IITB in the categories of Chemistry, Physics and Physiology/Medicine. These lectures were organised on 29 November 2023. Faculty members and students across the Institute attended the talk.
