MoU with WIPO, DBT and IIT Delhi

We are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) and IIT Bombay.

This MoU is geared towards fostering the development of intellectual property (IP) knowledge through IP-related course materials within the Biodesign Program. It also includes the establishment of a WIPO-supported Global Health Innovation Fellowship Initiative, enabling international Fellows to participate in the program.

Prof. Bellare from the Department of Chemical Engineering had represented IITB as a faculty member with significant IP generation in the Republic Day function

Commemorating the 75th Republic Day, Government of India invited various distinguished patent holders and inventors to acknowledge their ingenuity and substantial contributions in the field of science & technology, and raise the stature of India globally.

IIT Bombay is honoured to be recognised as a distinguished patent holder, for its contribution in generation and deployment of various Intellectual Properties, and playing an important role in the economic growth of the country.

TechConnect

The inaugural event of TechConnect 2023, the premiere research and development outreach event of IIT Bombay, showcasing research to the public including students, industries and academia took place on 27 December 2023. IIT Bombay heartily congratulates the recipients of the Rakesh Mathur Awards 2021. Prof. Jayesh Bellare, Department of Chemical Engineering, was conferred the 'Prof. H. H. Mathur Award for Excellence in Applied Sciences' and Prof. Jugal K. Verma, Department of Mathematics, the 'Prof. S. C. Bhattacharya Award for Excellence in Pure Sciences'.
