The inaugural event of TechConnect 2023, the premiere research and development outreach event of IIT Bombay, showcasing research to the public including students, industries and academia took place on 27 December 2023. For its efforts towards protection and deployment of its intellectual property, the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks (CGPDTM) has conferred the National IP Award 2023 to IIT Bombay, under the category of Best Indian Academic Institution for Patents Filing, Grant & Commercialization.

IIT Bombay organized Lectures on Nobel Prizes 2023 Session I by the faculty members of IITB in the categories of Chemistry, Physics and Physiology/Medicine. These lectures were organised on 29 November 2023. Faculty members and students across the Institute attended the talk.

Commemorating the birth anniversary of noted philosopher, educationist and statesman, Dr S Radhakrishnan, IIT Bombay celebrated its Teachers’ Day at the Institute campus on September 5, 2023. Dr. Arunava Majumdar, Dean, Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability, Jay Precourt Professor, Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Stanford University was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
