National Space Day Celebration

To celebrate the successful Chandrayaan 3 mission in 2023, which prompted the Government of India to designate August 23rd as National Space Day, IIT Bombay is thrilled to host a 5-day exhibition in the convocation foyer, showcasing the wonders of space and the progress in space technology.This exhibition will present a variety of fascinating exhibits that showcase the vastness of space science and technological advancements.

Tata Steel, India, and IIT Bombay team received the 2024 INFORMS Franz Edelman Finalist Award during the Edelman Gala night at INFORMS Business Analytics Conference 2024, Orlando, USA, on 15th April 2024.

IIT Bombay has recently seen a spurt in entrepreneurial activities within its ecosystem. We find that more and more researchers and faculty members are now stepping towards productization of their research ideas.
             

Speaking on the occasion, the President said that the launch of India’s first gene therapy is a major breakthrough in our battle against cancer. As this line of treatment, named “CAR-T cell therapy”, is accessible and affordable, it provides a new hope for the whole of humankind.

On March 27th, IIT Bombay Racing proudly unveiled their latest marvel: the Etherion, a cutting-edge Electric Formula-style car. This milestone marks the 13th electric vehicle crafted by the team since their transition to the EV category in 2011.

The treatment, called NexCAR19, raises hopes that this transformative class of medicine will become more readily available in low- and middle-income countries.

IITB Hydrogen Workshop, the 2024 edition of IRCC’s Annual CONferences on Emerging ConceptS [ICONS], was an unparalleled success, dedicated to illuminating the cutting-edge advancements in India's Hydrogen economy.

We are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) and IIT Bombay.

This MoU is geared towards fostering the development of intellectual property (IP) knowledge through IP-related course materials within the Biodesign Program. It also includes the establishment of a WIPO-supported Global Health Innovation Fellowship Initiative, enabling international Fellows to participate in the program.

Coimbatore witnessed an outstanding performance by IIT Bombay Racing at Formula Bharat 2024 held from January 19 to January 24. The team took home the top prize in the Electric Vehicle category, highlighting their dedication to engineering and innovation in the realm of electric vehicle technology.
