Enthuse 2025, held on 24th July 2025 as part of the Undergraduate Orientation Programme at IIT Bombay, was a vibrant introduction to the institute’s research landscape for the incoming undergraduate batch. Organized annually by the Industrial Research and Consultancy Centre (IRCC) in collaboration with EnPoWER (the institute's research wing for fostering research within the student community), this year’s event saw the participation of over 1,400 newly admitted students. The event took place simultaneously across three venues on the IIT Bombay campus and was led by three faculty coordinators: Prof. Abhijit Majumder (Dept. of Chemical Engg.), Prof. Amber Shrivastava (Dept. of Mechanical Engg.) and Prof. Arpita Mondal (Dept. of Civil Engg.).
During Enthuse 2025, professors from diverse departments presented brief insights into their research, offering a snapshot of the broad spectrum of research activities at IIT Bombay. The presentations spanned fundamental sciences, cutting-edge technologies, futuristic research domains, and socially impactful projects, igniting curiosity and excitement among the new undergraduates about the research opportunities available.
The event successfully highlighted the dynamic research environment at IIT Bombay, encouraging greater involvement of undergraduate students in research endeavors. Overall, Enthuse 2025 provided an enriching platform for students to engage with faculty, fostering enthusiasm for research from the very beginning of their academic journey.
