Digital inverted bright field microscopes
The IP describes two lines of battery-operated, portable, brightfield microscopes, one with single magnification and the other with variable magnification, fitted with digital displays in the form of a mobile phone or a tablet that are capable of capturing, storing and transmitting high-resolution colour images and videos. Both are inverted microscopes, and hence, capable of imaging slides as well as liquid samples. The internal optical and mechanical designs have been optimized for image quality and stability. The IP specifically covers the optical arrangement inside the microscopes, allowing the designs to be compact and portable without compromising the image quality. The microscope can be used in pathology labs, biology teaching labs in schools/colleges/universities, as well as in research institutes.
