Commemorating the 75th Republic Day, Government of India invited various distinguished patent holders and inventors to acknowledge their ingenuity and substantial contributions in the field of science & technology, and raise the stature of India globally.
IIT Bombay is honoured to be recognised as a distinguished patent holder, for its contribution in generation and deployment of various Intellectual Properties, and playing an important role in the economic growth of the country.
On behalf of IIT Bombay, Prof. Jayesh Bellare from the Department of Chemical Engineering attended the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, New Delhi on 26th January 2024. The event was followed by an interactive session with Shri. Piyush Goyal, Hon. Minister of Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Textiles, and Dr. Unnat Pandit, Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks.
IIT Bombay wishes to express it's gratitude to the Government of India for bestowing this recognition, and for it's initiatives towards creating a conducive ecosystem for the growth of innovation and IP protection. IIT Bombay shall continue to make concerted efforts to achieve the objective of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat', through development and translation of indigenous technologies.
