IIT Bombay Signs MoU with Godrej Aerospace for R&D in Aerospace & Defence projects
~ The three-year MoU will enable the two organizations to leverage their expertise and resources for developing innovative tech and design.
Mumbai, XX May 2023: Godrej & Boyce, the flagship company of the Godrej Group, with its business unit Godrej Aerospace has entered into a strategic partnership with the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay to collaborate on cutting-edge research and development projects in the field of Aerospace and Defence (A&D). This three-year collaboration brings together the expertise and resources of both organizations to develop innovative technologies and solutions for the growing requirements of A&D sector.
Maneck Behramkamdin, Sr. VP & Business Head, Godrej Aerospace, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration with IIT Bombay, stating, "We are privileged to work closely with IIT Bombay and explore the endless possibilities to drive innovation in the aerospace industry while also advancing the agenda of indigenous manufacturing by maintaining our in-house design & capabilities within India."
As part of its commitment to promoting indigenous manufacturing and strengthening India's self-reliant aerospace and defence sector, Godrej Aerospace aims to work closely with IIT Bombay to improve its in-house design and development competencies. The partnership will combine the engineering and technological expertise of Godrej Aerospace with the extensive knowledge domains of IIT Bombay.
