About the Event
IIT Bombay hosts a vibrant, interdisciplinary robotics research ecosystem spanning multiple departments. The research activities span a wide range of robotic platforms and application domains. These include rigid and flexible manipulators, aerial, space, and underwater autonomous robots, legged locomotion systems, self-driving vehicles, as well as multi-robot and human–robot collaborative systems. Complementing these vertical application areas are strong research efforts in horizontal enabling technologies such as intelligent perception and planning, distributed decision-making, robot learning, and advanced control design.
Researchers at IIT Bombay are actively working on problems motivated by industrial needs, ranging from automation and inspection to autonomous operations in complex environments. The Industry Day on Advanced Robotics and AI aims to further strengthen this engagement by bringing together industry leaders and IIT Bombay researchers to showcase ongoing work, discuss emerging technological challenges, and explore opportunities for collaborative research and technology development.
