Byclip, a bicycle parking rack, is a solution to the need for organising large number of bicycles and prevent their lateral fall because of random parking practices. Bicycles falling atop one another result in damage to bicycle frames, wheels, components, etc. Such damages further deter cyclists from using such parking spaces especially in large campuses like institutes, software complexes, apartment complexes, etc.
This user-centric novel design of bicycle rack, with effective arrangement of bicycles, enables quick picking and secure-parking of the bicycles in each Y-shaped clip. This Y-shaped Byclip element is based on the anatomical analysis of the bicycle. The frame structure of the bicycle led to the design of the parking rack. The head tube within the frame was used as an anchor point for the bicycle. Two modules of parking rack comprising of five (one side) and nine (both sides) Y-shaped clips were carefully designed to build parking system in any kind of available space.
