A text input and processing device for scripts following a consonant-vowel construction comprising: an input means with consonants displayed on one of the surfaces; a means to draw stroke/s corresponding to the shape of a vowel on the surface of the said input means; an optional display unit; a processing unit embedded in the said digitizing input means; wherein the said processing unit operates to combine the said shape of the vowel with the corresponding consonant; wherein drawing of substantially reduced number of strokes on the said surface enables rapid entry and processing of a syllable.
