Lighting for heritage monuments
Lighting for heritage monuments

As tradition, all of us visit temples for worship, but we never appreciate the beauty and efforts taken in building these lovely artifacts. Lighting that can enhance heritage temples and forts by night – is currently done in a fairly insensitive manner. Nails are driven into century old stone walls, irreparably damaging the sculptures, murals and inscriptions inside the temples. The
conventional lighting systems used are tube lights and bulbs which are unsuitable for the ambience. Solving these problems, this temple lighting project creates ambient light that merges into and enhances the look of the building.A series of lights are neatly hidden behind laser cut steel panels that stick to the temple walls using specially designed adhesives. The adhesives are customised to the temple walls based on their material. Motifs and ornamentation replicating the temple’s surface designs is carefully selected and customised fixtures are prepared.

Features
■ The panels are modular, ease to use, easily removable for cleaning and maintenance
■ The panels can be customised as per variation in length and placement to height various details in the temples
