This invention relates generally to an inflatable cushioning system. More particularly the present invention relates to a system for assisting a user in getting up. It may be used along with the bed, benches, chair etc through minor modifications to aid sick and infirm in getting up without requiring other assistance. It comprises an inflatable pillow comprising a PVC fabric bag, which contains two hard nylon sheet within which lies an inflatable air cavity which is the size of the hard nylon sheet and an adjustable frame means having an angular bent of approximately 70-80 degrees to provide subtantially firm grip.
