A Fully Differential Electromagnetically Coupled Microstrip Antenna
The invention relates to a fully diferential microstrip antenna comprising a bottom layer fabricated on a substrate with differential input and top layer fabricated in inverting configuration. If the antenna has to work in centre tapped configuration, centre of the bottom patch of the antenna is shunted to ground. If the antenna has to work in differential configuration, the centre of the bottom patch is not shunt to ground. The proposed microstrip antenna has a gain of 8.5dB at centre frequency and bandwidth from 830 to 970MHz for VSWR less than 2, efficiency of the proposed antenna is 80%.
