The invention relates to a system for a volume flow rate measurement of a fluid. The system includes a set of sensors placed in proximity to a first pipe section. A first sensor and a second sensor from the set of sensors are configured to measure time difference in flow of the fluid in a portion between the first sensor to an immediate second sensor in the first pipe section. A computation unit is in communication with the set of sensors.
The computation unit is configured to compute a volume flow rate of the fluid in the first pipe section based on the time difference either rise in temperature or a fall in temperature of the fluid at the first sensor and the immediate second sensor and a volume between the first sensor to the immediate second sensor in the first pipe section.
